Producer, pianist, and composer Robert Glasper has solidified himself as one of the defining voices of modern jazz, hip-hop, and R&B over the past two decades. With five GRAMMY awards to his name, Glasper’s music and artistry have defied genre boundaries by melding traditional jazz with modern production, R&B harmonies, and hip hop grooves into a melting pot that is undeniably Black American Music.

Hailing from Chicago, pianist and composer Alex Murphy’s collaborations with jazz, pop, R&B, and hip hop artists such as Nicholas Payton, MAJOR, Dave Douglas, Bobby Broom, Mark Colenburg, Adonis Rose, Chester Thompson, Joel Frahm, Dezron Douglas, Pharezz Whitted, Mark Colby, and Gabrielle Cavassa make him the perfect fit to pay tribute to the genre-bending icon Robert Glasper.
